Background: The diagnosis rate of adult spinal deformity (ASD) is increasing with increased life expectancy and the prevalence degenerative diseases. ASD in adults aged >60 years has been reported to be up 68%. significant impact on pain, disability, mental health. Therefore, it necessary establish an effective surgical plan by accumulating modern knowledge ASD, developing techniques, improving pre- post-operative care so as achieve optimal outcomes.Current Concepts: results from coronal sagittal malalignments caused diseases or iatrogenic factors. Recently, significance alignment correction emphasized, SRSSchwab classification generally accepted. Individualized goals can set through sufficient preoperative evaluations imaging studies, appropriate achieved intraoperative positioning patient, anterior posterior approach spine surgery, screw fixation, osteotomies.Discussion Conclusion: It target select for each patient improve patients’ quality life. Surgical interventions safely completed adequately comprehending anticipating perioperative complications.
